Crispy on the edges, chewy in the middle, and packed with melted chocolate chips – the perfect homemade treat for any occasion.
Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper so the cookies won’t stick.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter together with the granulated and brown sugars until the mixture looks light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry blend to the wet mixture, stirring just until the flour disappears.
Fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges turn golden but the centers stay soft.
Let the cookies cool on the sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
